Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and LLC PayProbe ("PayProbe", "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in Tbilisi, Georgia, governing your access to and use of payprobe.io and the tools, content, and features made available there (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to both you and that organization.
The Service
PayProbe provides free, browser-based utilities for payment, EMV, ISO 8583, cryptography, and blockchain developers, including decoders, validators, calculators, generators, and reference material. The tools execute locally in your browser; we do not operate an application backend that receives the data you enter.
The Service is intended for development, testing, integration, and educational purposes. It is not a production payment system, a certified compliance tool, or a substitute for the official specifications, test platforms, or guidance of card networks, standards bodies, or your own acquirer, processor, or security advisors.
No account required
You can use the Service without creating an account or logging in. We do not issue credentials, and we do not require registration. Because there is no account, any preferences (such as your theme or recently used tools) are stored only in your own browser, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the tools — including the data you input and the way you use any output — complies with all applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and card network and industry rules (including PCI DSS where it applies to you).
You agree not to use the Service to: engage in or facilitate payment fraud, card testing, money laundering, or any other unlawful activity; process, generate, or validate payment credentials, cryptographic keys, or cardholder data that you are not authorized to use; attempt to gain unauthorized access to, disrupt, or overload the Service or its hosting infrastructure; introduce malware or otherwise interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service; or scrape, mirror, or systematically extract the Service in a manner that imposes an unreasonable load.
You are responsible for the data you enter into the tools. We strongly recommend using test or sample data rather than real production secrets, keys, or cardholder data. Entering real sensitive data is done at your own risk and on your own device.
Intellectual property and license to use
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and the selection and arrangement of its content, is owned by PayProbe or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Trademarks, standards names, and network marks referenced in the tools and reference material belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and educational purposes only; their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own development, testing, and educational purposes. Except as permitted by applicable open-source licenses that may apply to specific components, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of the Service itself without our permission.
Your content and outputs
You retain all rights in the data you input into the tools and in the outputs the tools produce from that data. Because the tools run in your browser and your inputs are not transmitted to us, we do not claim any rights over, and do not access, your inputs or outputs.
You are responsible for retaining, backing up, or exporting any output you wish to keep. Closing or refreshing the tab discards anything held in memory.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PayProbe disclaims all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that any tool output is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your purpose. Payment standards, network rules, and cryptographic practices change over time, and the tools and reference material may not reflect the latest specifications. You must independently verify any result before relying on it for development, certification, compliance, or production decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will PayProbe or its contributors, suppliers, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100), reflecting that the Service is provided free of charge.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities, so some of the above exclusions and limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PayProbe and its contributors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your data inputs, or your violation of these Terms or of any applicable law or third-party right.
Third-party links and references
The Service may link to or reference external documentation, standards bodies, and other third-party resources. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or practices of those third parties, and a link does not imply endorsement. Your use of any third-party site or resource is subject to that party’s own terms and policies.
Changes, availability, and termination
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the Service.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a manner that could cause harm or legal liability. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual-property, disclaimer, limitation-of-liability, indemnification, and governing-law provisions — will survive.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or for legal and operational reasons. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and material changes will be made prominent on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence, you agree that the courts located in Tbilisi, Georgia will have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any such dispute.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
