About CAP / DPA
CAP (Chip Authentication Programme) is a Mastercard standard for generating offline OTPs using the EMV chip. The reader prompts the card for a cryptogram, which is then displayed as a numeric code. Visa's equivalent is DPA (Dynamic Passcode Authentication). Both use the EMV AC session key derived from the UDK.
