Application File Locator (AFL)

What it is

The Application File Locator (AFL) lists which records the terminal must read and which of them are included in offline data authentication. Each 4-byte entry encodes an SFI, a first and last record number, and a count of records to feed into the authentication hash.

Where it appears

Returned in GET PROCESSING OPTIONS; drives the READ RECORD loop and authentication.
