Application Preferred Name

What it is

Application Preferred Name is a display name for the application that, unlike the Application Label (50), may use extended character sets selected by the Issuer Code Table Index (9F11). When both are present the preferred name takes priority for cardholder display.

Where it appears

Read during application selection; used for terminal display.
