Interface Device Serial Number

What it is

Interface Device (IFD) Serial Number is the manufacturer-assigned serial number of the terminal interface device (8 characters). It helps identify a specific reader within an estate.

Where it appears

Terminal configuration / hardware value; may be sent to the card and issuer.
