Transaction Sequence Counter

What it is

Transaction Sequence Counter is a terminal-maintained counter (up to 8 digits, BCD) incremented on each transaction. It provides an ordering / reference number for reconciliation and appears in the transaction record.

Where it appears

Maintained by the terminal; incremented per transaction.
