Dedicated File (DF) Name

What it is

The Dedicated File (DF) Name is returned in the SELECT response and identifies the file selected on the card. For a payment application it equals the AID (or the PPSE name "2PAY.SYS.DDF01" / "1PAY.SYS.DDF01" for the directory).

Where it appears

Returned by the card in the SELECT (application or PPSE) response.
