What it is

The Terminal Floor Limit is a 4-byte amount above which a transaction should be sent online for authorisation. During terminal risk management the amount (9F02) is compared against it; exceeding the floor limit sets a TVRTerminal Verification ResultsEMV tag 95 — a 5-byte bitfield recording the outcome of the terminal’s risk and verification checks.View in glossary → bit and, via the action codes, typically forces the transaction online.
