What to do when you receive AB05
- Treat the payment as not executed: the debtor is not debited, or is re-credited.
- Retry as a new payment with a new end-to-end ID, or fall back to a standard credit transfer.
- Repeated timeouts to one bank point to an outage there; check the CSM status page before retrying in bulk.
In SEPA
Typical SCT Inst reject: the beneficiary bank did not confirm before the scheme time-out, so the originator bank rejects the payment.
