Euro Coin
Overview
EURC is Circle’s euro-pegged sibling to USDC and the first euro stablecoin accepted for card-network settlement. Its inclusion in Visa’s July 2025 expansion matters mostly for European acquirers: settlement obligations can stay euro-denominated end-to-end instead of converting through USD.
Under MiCA, EURC is issued as a regulated e-money token in the EU, which is the property card networks and their EU-regulated members care about most.
Card-network settlement support
Added to Visa’s settlement platform in the July 2025 expansion — the first non-USD settlement stablecoin on a card network. Not in Mastercard’s announced settlement set.
Regulation & reserves
Euro-denominated cash and equivalents held with regulated financial institutions; monthly attestations.

Always verify contract addresses against the issuer’s official documentation before use — lookalike tokens with identical symbols are a common scam vector.
